Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a Chicken Service Representative to join our team in Fort Recovery.
The primary goal of this position is to work closely with the Live Production Manager, service representatives and growers to continually monitor the health of chickens.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday (Salary 1st shift)
STARTING RATE: Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
- Coordinate all aspects of bird health while working with growers to manage each flock.
- Ensure good health of birds
- Use the PIP program for all growers who are having any management shortcomings.
- Troubleshoot and work to solve disease problems that arise
- Communicate effectively with growers
- Complete all records, fill out reports and visit farms weekly
- Train all growers on proper husbandry techniques, animal welfare guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure all vaccinations are completed as scheduled
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and in proper order at each farm
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science preferred - will consider Associate's degree with experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Must work well with people
- Excellent observation skills
- Must be organized
