Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Shipping Associate to join our Spring Meadow Farms team in Rossburg.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-5:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.90-$21.45 with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided. Job functions include:
- Unloading materials to be placed in designated areas such as dry storage, cooler or staging area.
- Scanning all incoming and outgoing products and materials into the CAT² System.
- Repairing damaged racks returned from the customer which may consist of bending and straightening brackets, removing plastic wrap from the wheels, and minimal welding.
- Sweeping out trailer before loading and checking refrigeration units, as well as wrapping, loading and securing product to be shipped.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have intermediate reading, writing, and math skills as well as advanced interpersonal and computer skills.
- High School Diploma is strongly preferred.
- 2 years of experience with Cooper Farms or a similar operation is preferred.
