Job Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for 85 years. We have divisions in Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties in Ohio and are looking for a Veterinary Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2026.
LOCATION: Fort Recovery, OH
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday
STARTING RATE: From $17.50
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions
- Students will help with animal diagnostics, creating vaccines, and evaluating health challenges. They will gain experience in animal production, animal sample collection, microbiology and common disease processes.
- Plan, organize and document all appropriate trial or project information.
- Prepare a power point presentation to present at the end of summer to the management team.
- Pursuing a Veterinary Degree or Bachelor's in Animal Science, Zoology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Life Sciences or similar major from an accredited college/university.
- Junior or Senior; Vet School Intentions
- Preferred to have at least one Microbiology course completed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
- Preferred to have basic Microsoft Office skills/experience
- Must be detail oriented, able to work cooperatively with others, as well as individually
