Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Coordinator to join our team in Oakwood.
The primary goal of this position is to coordinate the work required of the facility maintenance department between the facility maintenance staff, farm staff, purchasing staff, and contractors, ensuring all biosecurity protocols are communicated and adhered to.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $20 - $23/hr
PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
- Manage iMaint Work Requestor program and determine if internal or external contractors are needed
- Communicate with work requestor and maintenance managers to gather all necessary information before contracting work
- Create/process work orders when work is requested and/or completed.
- Generate scheduled work orders and distribute
- Prioritize work requests using the priority feature in iMaint (air/water/feed as priority)
- Contact and schedule outside contractors as required
- Meet with contractors prior to starting work to train them on our biosecurity requirements and complete the sign-in process
- Follow-up with contractors to ensure biosecurity protocols are being strictly adhered to
- Ensure all scheduling of contractors is communicated with the farm staff and maintenance staff through calendar invites
- Follow up on work completion and communicate whether results are satisfactory/unsatisfactory
- Run reports and communicate results, including amount of work done/not done
- Distribute biweekly open work order listing
- Maintain communication with Purchasing staff on ordering/receiving of parts
- Review the iMaint report for outstanding work requests and/or work orders in process to ensure completion &/or cancel the request/order and clean up duplicates
- Merge/plan additional work that can be done at the same location at the same time
- Help ensure Techs are looking at known/potential issues while onsite and that all necessary parts are ordered
- Communicate regularly with maintenance managers and service managers for each area to facilitate prioritization of projects/needs
- Attend farm staff meetings, maintenance staff meetings, and check-in calls to communicate upcoming maintenance functions
Requirements - Two-year degree in business or a related field (preferred), or at least three years of relatable work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must be well organized and extremely detailed
- Ability to work independently yet be able to communicate information timely, thoroughly, and accurately
