Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm; with occasional call-ins for weather, projects or emergency.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $24.15-$27.15 with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided position. Job functions include:
- Maintaining safe work habits and a positive safety attitude while performing highly diversified duties for installation and maintenance of production and facility equipment & machines.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. While being able to trouble shoot, diagnose, replace or repair parts.
- Performing all maintenance tasks related to heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding and other duties as assigned.
- Maintaining regular communication with managers as well as maintaining all related paperwork and records.
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance and facilities management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform general maintenance practices including welding, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc. with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, be a team player, and be able to assist in other areas of the work site as needed.
- Must be detail oriented and able to work independently.
