Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Feed Mill Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-4:30pm with occasional Saturdays.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: Commensurate with experience
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this position. Job functions include:
- Following all biosecurity guidelines to maintaining disease free facilities.
- Assisting in eliminating potential safety hazards from the workplace.
- Working with manager to set repair priorities and follow through to see that necessary repairs are made.
- Performing all related preventative and corrective maintenance functions as assigned
- Being willing to improve skills through training, off-site classes and attain certifications as needed
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Must have adequate knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Must have Millwright skills including but not limited to: welding, metal fabrication, maintaining old & installation of new equipment.
- Experience in trouble-shooting the WEM automation system, or willingness to learn.
