Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Flock Caretaker to join our team in Union City, Indiana.

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:00am-3:30pm; rotating weekend shift every third weekend.

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.15 with the potential of increasing to $18.40 after 90 days.

PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided. Job functions include:

  • Animal care and welfare.
  • Following all biosecurity and safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have animal handling experience
