Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Further Process Operator to join our Liquid Egg Products team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.90-$21.45 with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided. Job functions include:
- Ensure that food safety, quality procedures and USDA-FSIS regulations are being adhered to.
- Being responsible for monitoring and enforcing a controlled process in regard to food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Performing and record daily pre-operative inspections prior to USDA inspection, and accompanying the designated USDA Inspector through their pre-op inspection.
- Being responsible for understanding, training and demonstrating how to operate all further processing equipment.
- Assisting in all HACCP monitoring activities, SQF and production paperwork for the further process operation.
- Assist the management team in root cause analysis, problem solving and follow through with resolution to food safety or quality issues.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Must have organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- 2 years experience in further process/pasteurization preferred but not required.
