Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Production Lead to join our team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $19.40-$22.95 with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this position. Job functions include:
- Assisting the supervisor in bringing leadership to team members and assisting in day-to-day activities of the egg breaking process.
- Establishing production schedules that allow for the most efficient production while meeting quality standards and customer delivery requirements.
- Meeting operation goals while complying with all internal and external safety and environmental requirements.
- Assisting in writing and implementing SOPs while ensuring all team members are properly trained.
- Completing production records properly, accurately and in a timely manner
- Must have excellent written, verbal, communication, and human relations skills.
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office
- An Associate degree in food science or related field or 2 years experience with Coopers Farms or a similar operation is preferred.
- The ability to think on your feet and evaluate/calculate a situation is critical to this position.
