Job Description

Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Feed Mill Operator in Woodburn, Indiana.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday approximately 9:30am-6:00pm, with the possibility for overtime.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.85 with the potential of increasing to $20.80 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company approval)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Maximizing production while maintaining the highest quality feed
- Following established feed mixing procedures and all safe food/safe feed guidelines
- Keeping feed inventories accurate and properly rotated.
- Collecting feed samples from all feed produced
- Loading trucks
- Keeping the feed mill clean and organized and completing all required paperwork
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work independently and work a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and safely climb ladders of various heights
- Must be able to shovel from ground level to elevated surfaces.
- Must be willing to learn and operate various computer systems.
