Job Description

Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Grow Out Attendant to join our team in Oakwood.
SHIFT HOURS: Saturday and Sunday 7:00am-11:00am, Monday 7:00am to 3:00pm, and flexible the rest of the week to equal 40 hours.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $16.80 with the potential of increasing to $17.05 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Keeping farm clean, maintaining laundry, maintaining supply inventory
- Monitoring birds for signs of distress or disease
- Maintaining acceptable littler quality, till and add shavings/straw as needed
- Monitoring humidity and barn temperatures
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
