Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Egg Division in Mercer County, Ohio, provides quality table and liquid eggs to consumers near and far. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Quality Assurance Lead to join our Spring Meadow Farms team in Rossburg.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $19.90-$23.45 (dependent upon experience) with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided. Job functions include:
- Overseeing the quality department and ensuring that all products are being processed according to the company HACCP plan for Safety and wholesomeness and meets quality specifications of the customer and/or non-USDA guidelines.
- Ensuring established quality policies and procedures are being followed in accordance with corporate guidelines
- Reducing food safety risks by ensuring that eggs are stored and processed according to the requirements of the HACCP Plan and the SQF system.
- Responsible for documentation requirements related to compliance with egg processing plants’ food safety and quality systems.
- Implementing controls when processes or products do not meet customer specifications or USDA requirements.
- Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma.
- Must have reading, writing and basic computer stills as well as strong verbal and written communication stills.
- Two years of quality experience or experience in an egg processing facility is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to obtain training for SQT Systems for Food Safety and Quality.
