Job Description

Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Farrowing Technician to join our White Oak team in Grover Hill, Ohio.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 5:30am-2:30pm, partial shift every 3rd weekend.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $17.55 with the potential of increasing to $18.80 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Processing and vaccinating newborn piglets.
- Caring for ill animals per veterinary and manager guidance and maintaining records.
- Maintaining a designated feeding routine.
- Keeping up on barn maintenance and cleanliness, which includes power washing.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
