Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for 85 years. A commitment to teamwork and quality has made us one of the top turkey, hog and egg companies in the U.S. and awarded the company and its team an excellent reputation. We have divisions in Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties in Ohio and are looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2026.

LOCATION: Van Wert & Oakwood, OH (will work at both locations throughout the summer)

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday

STARTING RATE: From $17.50

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

  • Focus on various costing projects - exposure to both the manufacturing side and agriculture-based accounting
  • Review processes, actual cost and compare to standard cost
  • Present findings/solutions to our leadership team at the end of the summer
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or similar major from an accredited college/university.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Proficiency at math with strong computer skills and Microsoft Office
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work cooperatively with others
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities with a general understanding of data analysis techniques will be beneficial
