Job Description
Cooper Farms is a reputed family-owned farm and food company in North-western Ohio, that has been delivering outstanding quality turkey, hog, and egg products for more than 85 years. Their teamwork and commitment to quality have been recognized all over the United States. At the Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant, located in Van Wert County, Ohio, they create, cook, and slice the best quality deli items on the market.
The work schedule for weekdays requires employees to work from either 2:30 in the afternoon until 11:00 at night or 3:30pm to 12:00 midnight
Individuals who accept this job offer will receive an initial hourly rate of $17.25. However, this may eventually increase to $17.50 after the probation period of 90 days.
Instructional sessions will be offered. Tasks in the role include:
- It is essential for employees to be knowledgeable about departmental equipment and its operations to ensure successful outcomes
- Conducting all assigned procedures in an organized and efficient manner to meet production, quality, and safety requirements
- Interacting with others to verify the compliance of all components and reporting any divergences.
- Making certain all critical documents are correctly filled out
Requirements
- The ability to sustain an upright position for an extended period of time without experiencing fatigue
- It is imperative that the candidate be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and moving items weighing up to 100 pounds for this position.
