We are currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Fort Recovery.
The primary goal of this position is to achieve accurate and timely project accounting records as well as strive for overall departmental excellence.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: From $19.00/hr
PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job Functions:
- Process accurate and timely records for all turkey grow-out projects, including recording receipts, making transfers, calculating grower fees, and making any necessary changes to develop finished project reports
- Process accurate and timely records for the hog finisher projects, including recording receipts, calculating grower fees, and making any necessary changes to develop finished project reports
- Assist in the compiling and processing of weekly and monthly production reports to submit to growers and distribute summary reports to production managers and service representatives
- Complete all hog month end tasks and reconcile all accounting departmental reports to the project accounting reports
- Process all load-out paperwork on project sales and recap all related paperwork for monthly reporting
- Responsible for weekly calculation of freight report for contract haulers
- Responsible for appropriately accounting for all prepaid fuels and initiating invoices or entering information into projects when applicable
- Responsible for classification of weekly Cooper Hatchery invoices between all hog projects to ensure the accurate allocation of costs
- Assist in the processing of other project related duties as assigned
Requirements - Associate degree in accounting or two-years of project related accounting experience is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent math skills
