Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Hog Live Haul Driver to join our CDL team in Fort Recovery.
$$ 3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS $$
(Sign-On Bonus to be paid as $500 each month for the first six months. Internal candidates must commit to at least 1 year in this position to be eligible.)
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 5:00am-2:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $23.30 with the potential of increasing to $23.80 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for the CDL driving position. Job functions include:
- Safely transporting pigs at scheduled locations.
- Assisting in loading, unloading, vaccinating, and sorting of pigs.
- Practicing all biosecurity and animal handling guidelines.
- Completing all paperwork and daily inspections.
- Must be 21 years of age and have a Class A CDL
- Must have 2 year’s driving experience, along with a clean driving record
- Ability to tolerate adverse weather conditions and dusty conditions
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time.
- Willing to obtain TQA and PQA training.
