Job Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 2nd shift Feed Mill Production team member to join our team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday 4:15pm-2:45am
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $20.80 with the potential of increasing to $22.30 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Maximizing production while maintaining the highest quality feed
- Following established feed mixing procedures while following all safe food/safe feed guidelines
- Keeping feed inventories accurate and properly rotated.
- Keeping the feed mill clean and organized
- Completing all required paperwork
- Must be 18 years of age
- Reading and writing skills as well as strong communication skills
- Ability to tolerate adverse weather conditions and dusty conditions
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
