Job Description

Our St. Henry Processing plant in Mercer County, Ohio, prepares the turkeys for further processing and distribution. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in St. Henry.

SHIFT HOURS: Sunday through Thursday 10:30pm-7:00 am with every other Saturday 6:00am-12:00pm

STARTING HOURLY RATE: $23.00-$30.00 (based on experience) with a potential increase at 90 days.

PERKS: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions Include:

  • Evaluate sources of problems with equipment and systems.
  • Follow-up on repairs by testing equipment as it is normally ran.
  • Record any parts removed from parts inventory.
  • Keep the shop and work areas organized and clean.
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions on all equipment as assigned. Each individual is expected to report any incomplete work or repairs to the maintenance supervisors
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have an Associate degree or equivalent in maintenance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Good communication and math skills is a must
  • Must have a good mechanical background and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
