Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for more than 85 years. We have divisions in Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties in Ohio and are looking for a Safety Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2026.

LOCATION: Fort Recovery, OH

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday

STARTING RATE: From $17.50

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

  • Directly working on a chemical audit, also look at the best ways to handle and store chemicals. Intern will be helping in implementing a chemical approval form and process thru out the FR Division.
  • Implement confined space procedure and review of current confined space procedures
  • Conduct audits, inspections and help write safety procedures
  • Present findings/solutions to our leadership team at the end of the summer
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's from an accredited college/university.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work cooperatively with others
