Job Description

Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for more than 85 years. We have divisions in Mercer, Van Wert and Paulding Counties in Ohio and are looking for a Hatchery Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2026.

LOCATION: Oakwood, OH (45873)

SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday

STARTING RATE: From $17.50

ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

  • Potential to work on a variety of things including, taking vent temperatures, following weight progression through flocks and tracking temperatures through incubation
  • Experience and exposure to trials within the Hatchery (embryonic growth, mortality tracking, etc.)
  • Present findings/solutions to our leadership team at the end of the summer
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Poultry Science, Poultry Management, Animal Science or similar major from an accredited college/university.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to work cooperatively with others
