Job Description

Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking 1st shift Security Guards to join our team in Rossburg.
SHIFT HOURS: A rotating schedule of 4 days on/3 days off and 3 days on/4 days off. Weekday hours of 6:30am-6:00pm and weekend hours of 6:30am-2:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE:$15.55-$18.50 with a potential increase after 90 days.
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Controlling the admission to facility grounds to ensure the safety and security of team members, buildings, grounds and product which includes making sure biosecurity measure are being met.
- Maintaining a log of all calls and visitors to the facility.
- Working with Shipping to direct inbound carriers to proper loading/unloading area.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the guard shack through regular cleaning during your shift.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills as well as some computer skills.
- Must be able to follow written instructions.
