Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Safety Technician to join our team in Oakwood.
$$ 1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS $$
(Sign-On Bonus to be paid as $250 at thirty days, $250 at sixty days and $500 at six months. Rehires qualify a year after termination).
SHIFT HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $25.00-$28.00 with a potential increase at 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
Job functions include:
- Assist both the Maintenance and Safety Managers ensuring all new construction and existing locations are up to date on ARC flash labeling, LOTO procedures, and electrical labeling
- Act as the liaison with contractors to ensure compliance with all Cooper Farms related safety programs
- Conduct location electrical fire safety audits to identify fire hazards, faulty equipment, and non-compliant items per NFPA/OSHA/NEC
- Create a written report for deficient items with recommended corrective actions
- Ensure all electrical panels and/or components are labelled properly for identification and meet ARC Flash requirements
- Evaluate equipment requiring LOTO to identify all the different types of energy needed to lock out equipment
Requirements - Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a safety or maintenance position in manufacturing or agricultural environment
- Must have a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Ability to read electrical diagrams, ARC flash studies, and engineer drawings
- Ability to work independently
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and driving record in accordance with Cooper Farms Fleet Safety Manual
