Job Description

Our Oakwood Division in Paulding County, Ohio, breeds hogs and turkeys while providing the best care to our animals in a small team setting. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 1st shift Vaccination Crew team member in Oakwood.
SHIFT HOURS: Monday approximately 5:00am-3:00pm and Tuesday through Friday approximately 6:30am-3:00pm.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $18.85 with the potential of increasing to $20.80 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company approval)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
- Setting up and tearing down of vaccinating equipment
- Catching birds
- Using proper shooting techniques for subcutaneous, tail and wing shots.
- Caring for ill birds per veterinary and manager guidance while maintaining proper records
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
