Job Description
Cooper Farms is a family-owned farm and food company based in Northwest Ohio for over 85 years. Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking a 3rd shift Feed Mill Production team member to join our team in Fort Recovery.
SHIFT HOURS: Sunday through Thursday 8:00pm-6:00am
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $20.30 with the potential of increasing to $20.95 after 90 days
ADDITIONAL PAY: Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)
All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:
• Maximizing production while maintaining the highest quality feed
• Following established feed mixing procedures while following all safe food/safe feed guidelines
• Keeping feed inventories accurate and properly rotated.
• Keeping the feed mill clean and organized
• Completing all required paperwork
- Must be 18 years of age
- Reading and writing skills as well as strong communication skills
- Ability to tolerate adverse weather conditions and dusty conditions
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders
